Education, the Key to Success
Now that we've gone through the 4 year cycle in crypto and seasonality in a Bullrun, I think it would be very useful for you to know how to identify the projects that can bring you satisfying profits as this cycle matures.
At TOKERO, we place great emphasis on financial education and believe that success or failure in crypto is a consequence of our level of education. The more you educate yourself, the higher your chances of success. Unfortunately, success is not guaranteed, but the more informed an investor is, the more they can reduce their risk and increase their likelihood of success.
Identifying potential projects in the crypto industry can be challenging given the market's complexity and volatility, as well as the rapidly growing number of projects. However, there are a few essential steps you can follow to evaluate a project's chances of success:
The Team
- Check if the team has relevant experience in technology, blockchain, or other essential areas for the project's success.
- Find some information about the team members who have a verifiable track record of success in other projects or companies.
- A project with an anonymous team or limited experience can be a red flag, although sometimes there are exceptions.
Technology and Innovation
- Analyze whether the project brings something new or significantly improves an existing technology.
- Check the whitepaper to see if the solution proposed by the project is solid and feasible from a technical and economic standpoint.
Token Utility
- Ensure that the project’s token has a clear utility and is necessary for the platform or ecosystem's operation.
- Tokens without real utility use to be overvalued and may not last long-term, although the market has shown that sometimes there are exceptions.
Community and Adoption
- Analyze how large and active the community around the project is. Projects supported by a strong community have a higher chance of success.
- The blockchain on which the project's token is minted is crucial. There is a significant difference between having a token in the Solana ecosystem, which has high adoption and liquidity, and having a token in an ecosystem that lacks market interest.
Roadmap and Progress
- Check the project's roadmap to determine if the objectives are realistic and whether the team has successfully met the planned milestones to date.
- Projects that meet their objectives on time and communicate the progress transparently are usually more reliable. In technology, delays are common, but also you can measure a project's seriousness by how the team informs their investors and the community when delays or challenges arise.
Market Analysis
- Understand the market in which the project aims to operate (or is already operating) and analyze the existing competition.
- A project entering a saturated market without a clear competitive advantage may struggle to attract users.
Tokenomics
- Analyze the token distribution, inflation/deflation mechanisms and the incentivization methods for users and stakeholders.
- Projects with well-thought-out tokenomics can support healthy long-term value growth.
Revenue
- Does the project generate revenue? If not, the economic model may not be very sustainable. A solid business can’t be on the market for a long time without generating revenue.
Following these key criteria can provide you a solid foundation for identifying the crypto projects with real potential. A possible significant gain comes with equally significant responsibility. Therefore, it would be ideal to be as well-informed as possible before deciding to invest in a project.
On our platform, you can find over 100 of the most popular crypto projects, and you can also find a small research piece about each of them. We haven’t covered all the steps mentioned above, but it’s at least a starting point, and if a project catches your attention, we’ve included links to its website and main social media page, in order to get even more information about it.
